Man Shot and Killed in LIC / Astoria outside Queensbridge Houses

October 10 2021 Queens, New York – a man, 37 years old, was fatally shot outside Queensbridge Houses in Astoria / Long Island City area of Queens.

Incident occured around 01:52am, police received a 911 call of a male shot at 10 Street and 40 Avenue, Queensbridge South Houses.

Police observed in front of 1016 41 Avenue, a 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.

EMS also responded and transported the victim to New York Presbyterian – Cornell Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Surveillance video obtained by the NYPD shows the victim in possibly a heated discussion with the shooter outside  Queensbridge Houses around 1:50 a.m., police said.
