Passenger Arrested After NYC Flight Makes Emergency Landing with reports of “Suspicious Device” in NYC

October 9 2021 – Queens, New York – Emergency Landing at LGA Airport with reports of Suspicious Device and Injuries, prompted a 2-Alarm response.

Bombs squad, fdny and NYPD were on scene rushing to the plane.

The emergency incident on the plane led to arrest of one of the plane’s passengers, federal and airline officials confirmed.

Republic Airlines Flight 4817 made an emergency landing at the Laguardia Queens airport around 3 p.m this afternoon.

On board passengers reported suspicious behavior from a male on the the flight, a Port Authority spokesperson said.

A senior law enforcement official stated that the passenger was unruly and when confronted by the flight crew, he allegedly said he had a device aboard the plane.

All 80 passengers were safely evacuated and suspect placed under arrest.
