On Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at approximately 0437 am, police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in front of 300 East 158 Street (Jackson Houses), in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers said they observed a 31-year-old male lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
