On Saturday, October 2, 2021 at approximately 02:44am, police responded to a 911 call of an E-bike crash near Webster Avenue and Ittner Place, in the Bronx.
Police discovered a 39-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, lying in the roadway with severe body trauma.
EMS responded and pronounced victim dead on the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined the male victim was operating an E-bike, traveling northbound on Webster Avenue just past Ittner Place, when he lost control of the e-bike, struck the cement median.
Rider was ejected from the bike. The investigation remains ongoing.
