Man Shot in armed robbery at Upscale UES Restaurant

September 15 2021 Manhattan, New York – A 28-year-old man dinning outside of Philippe restaurant in Upper East Side, was shot in the leg, another man robbed.


Incident occured just after 10 p.m. outside Philippe Chow restaurant on East 60th Street, Manhattan

Two suspects exited a dark colored SUV and went after two men dining at different tables.

One suspect stole a 31-year-old man’s Rolex, the other went to 28-year-old man at a different table, on a date, and went to rob him.

28-year-old victim fought back, grabbing suspect’s gun, which suddenly went off, according to police

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg, suspect dropped the weapon and fled.

Police officers who arrived at the scene applied a tourniquet on victim’s leg before he was taken to a local hospital.

Police have recovered surveillance video of the suspects and are looking for them.
