BLM Protesters Arrested outside Met Gala in NYC

On September 13, 2021 in Manhattan, New York – NYPD arrested multiple people protesting in front of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The museum was closed for the annual Met Gala, marking the opening of the Institute’s annual fashion exhibit.

About 10 arrests were made of those who were there protesting for BLM. Some could be heard chanting the name of Mikey Rosado who was recently shot and killed by an off duty NYPD police officer in the Bronx.

When SRG responded, protestors could be heard chanting “I don’t see a riot here, why are you in riot gear?!”
