Hit & Run Drunk Driver Strikes and Kills Person in Queens

September 11 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
A drunk driver struck and killed 1 person in a hit and run crash on the Long Island Expressway at around 3am on Saturday morning. The NYPD say that Jorge Serrano, 30 years old from Torrington Connecticut was driving a silver Chevrolet Cruze when he hit a man riding a moped an another on a dirtbike from behind and fled.


Both victims were found lying in the road and were taken to a nearby hospital. Police arrested the suspect less than an hour later in Maspeth, Queens.
The suspect, Serrano, was found to have been drinking, and was arrested for driving without a license according to the NYPD.
The 23 year old man who was riding on the moped was prounced dead, and the 19 year old man was on the dirtbike is at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in stable condition.
