On Monday, August 23, 2021 at approximately 10:31p.m. , police responded to a 911 call of a person shot near the corner of East 157 Street and Melrose Avenue, in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the torso.
Victim, identified as Ryehine Cintron, was transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
