Fire Destroys Queens Building Injuring One

August 14 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
One person was hurt in a fire overnight in Flushing.
Shortly after 1am, a fire erupted between two buildings at 34-53 Leavitt Street.


The building was completely charred along with a shed on the property.
The fire was first reported at 1:01am and visible flames were knocked down in about 15 minutes and was declared under control shortly after 2am, but not before the building was destroyed.
The victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, fire marshalls are investigating the cause of the blaze.
