August 14 2021 – BROOKLYN, New York:
A 29 year old man was struck and killed while riding an electric scooter at the intersection of Hoyt and Fulton streets in downtown Brooklyn.
Police say a 42 year old man was taking a right turn from Fulton onto Hoyt Street when his Hyundai Elantra struck the scooter driver.
When police arrived on scene the discovered the victim with severe bodily trauma and EMS transported the victim to Brooklyn Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver and his 24 year old passenger remained on the scene and was not arrested. The investigation is ongoing.1
