Bruised Body Of Queens Lawyer Found in his Office

A lawyer was found dead at his Queens office Thursday morning, police are investigating the death as a homicide.

The victim, a lawyer, who has not yet been officially identified, worked at 37-06 82nd Avenue in Jackson Heights, was found lying face up on a floor in the office around 5:50 a.m., police said.
“Sounds like a disgruntled client,” said Mark Drucker, a lawyer who owns a firm in the same building, “They think that someone came in last night and I think one of the secretaries was afraid of this guy.”


Drucker continued, “from what I hear, he came in with his brother I think and Charlie took him up to the office and never came down, Charlie didn’t anyway.”


The victim was found with blunt force injuries to his face, torso and chest, police said.


According to witnesses on scene, the victim was known for doing real estate litigation and divorce work and was identified by friends as Charles Zolot

“Simple guy, you know, kept by himself, very friendly, big Met fan,” said Drucker, “Very likeable… Not at all the kinda guy who would have an enemy.”
According to this Drucker, the victim didn’t have wife or children but does have a sister.
