“We Are Not A Hate Group” – New Black Panther Party Member Speaks Up

July 17 2021, Indianapolis, Indiana – While touring an abandoned school that is now being converted into a community center in Indianapolis (full story on that is coming soon!), by a member of NBP , local pastor and volunteers, we asked Black Root of the New Black Panther Party, what he thought of SPLC calling them a hate group.

The Anti-Defamation League, the Southern Poverty Law Center, and the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights consider the New Black Panthers to be a hate group, accusing it and its leaders of racism, antisemitism and anti-Zionism.

Earlier in the day New Black Panthers led an armed march through the streets of Indianapolis and spoke about the shooting of Dorian Murrell who was killed by police. Shooting happened on May 30, at around 2 a.m., Murrell, an unarmed teenager, was shot and killed around Pennsylvania and Market streets. A court case regarding his death is approaching the the groups wanted to bring attention to the case, that police never provided video of the incident. They encouraged people to get organized and join in.
