Rally to Free Jan 6th Prisoners met by ‘Antifa’ Protest in NYC

July 25 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York: A Rally was held in Foley Square, organized by Citizens Against Political Prosecution. Group gathered too speak up for prisoners who have been locked up following January 6th Capitol Riot. Speakers brought up multiple instances of detainees being held in solitary confinement, describing conditions as “inhumane”.

The rally was met with counter protesters ‘Antifa’ in black block.
The counter protesters chanted f*ck the Proud Boys, and held signs reading the same, and “solidarity with Antifa prisoners” and “F*ck justice, we want revenge.”

One was arrested after allegedly trying to stab the tires of a truck belonging to the Proud Boys, according to police.
Police tackled the man to the ground and showed the owner of the truck the knife, asking, “did you give him permission to stab your trucks tires?”



During the rally, “Garth” a member of the NYC chapter of the Proud Boys addressed the counter protesters, saying they are not fascists.

Several people spoke at the rally including the mother and husband of Ashli Babbitt, who addressed the crowd from the phone.
