July 23 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Dozens of protesters gathered across the street from the UN in Midtown to demand freedom for the people of Cuba and to speak up against communism and socialism.
They chanted “down with communism,” and, “United Nations do your job.”
They erected a boat and dressed as refugees covered in blood. A woman dressed as the statue of liberty was dressed with her mouth sewn shut.
They staged attacks between soldiers and refugees.
They began crossing the streets and waving flags, the police were called and they were told to stay on the sidewalk.
Officer: You are crossing the street when you have the light; but, you’re not a pedestrian.
People: Yes we are!
Officer: You’re a demonstrator.
People: And, pedestrian as well.
Officer: You have the right to protest and I am establishing your right to protest.
Interesting interaction between #SOSCuba and NYPD outside of the UN.
