Storm knocks trees down in Queens, Blocking traffic and smashing through home windows

July 6 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
A large tree snapped and fell onto two houses along 27th street near 23rd Avenue in Astoria, Queens.
The tree took out one corner of the apartment building, cutting wires, and smashing through a window, knocking an air-conditioning into an apartment.
One neighbor said he had asked the city to cut the tree down last summer after it fell onto his car. He said this is now the second time the tree has fallen in bad weather.
