67-year-old E-bike Rider is dead after Car Collision in the Bronx

On Thursday, July 1, 2021 at around 0524am, police say they responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle at East 156 Street and Brook Avenue in the Bronx.

Upon arrival police say they observed a 67-year-old, Aloime Zamora- Castillo, lying on the ground with trauma to his head and leg.

EMS also responded and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was pronounced dead.

A preliminary investigation determined that the male was operating an e-bike and traveling westbound on East 156 Street when he collided with a sedan traveling southbound on Brook Avenue. The vehicle remained at the scene. The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
