Multiple car accidents overnight result in multiple deaths and injuries in NYC

June 12 2021 – BROOKLYN, New York:
Two pedestrians are in critical condition after they were hit by a motorcycle on Nostrand Ave and Marine Parkway in Sheepshead Bay just before 10:30pm.

June 12th, 2021 – Queens, NY: In the confines of the 109th precinct at approximately 9:50 p.m. police responded to a call of a pedestrian struck at 34-45 Leavitt St. where they found a person critically injured on the sidewalk after a white sedan hopped the curb and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital in critical condition.

June 13 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
A Lyft driver was killed in an early morning crash in Fresh Pond, Queens.
According to the NYPD, when officers arrived to the scene they observed an unconscious 47-year-old man inside a 2016 Toyota Rav4 with bodily trauma. EMS responded and transported him to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.


The NYPD collision investigation squad determined that the Lyft driver was driving on Fresh Pond Road through the intersection of Eliot Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a 2014 Ford Explorer. The driver of that vehicle was a 22-year-old man who was taken into custody and removed to Elmhurst Hospital for evaluation, with charges pending. The police are still investigating.

June 13 2021 Queens , New York – At around 03:10am, police say responded to a call of a motor vehicle collision near 144 Street and Foch Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers said they observed a 53-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive inside of a 2008 Nissan Altima with trauma about the body. EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, according to sources.

Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that vehicle #1, a 2008 Nissan Altima, operated by the 53-year-old male, was driving Northbound on 114 Street through the intersection of Foch Boulevard when it was struck by a 2017 Infinity Q50 which was traveling Eastbound on Foch Boulevard at a high rate of speed, according to officials.

After the collision the operator of the 2017 Infinity Q50 fled the scene on foot, cops said. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
