100 Passengers Evacuated when a Ship Ran Aground

June 5 2021 – BROOKLYN, New York:
The 600-passenger ferry, Seastreak Commodore, was preparing to dock at 34th Street in Manhattan after picking up passengers in Sandy Hook when the crew lost control and the ship ran aground.


About 100 passengers and crew were aboard when the incident occured, one passenger said that once the ship stopped it began to list, and the crew told the passengers to move to the starboard side.
The ship is currently taking on water and the FDNY is pumping the water off the vessel.
