34-year-old Killed by a Hit & Run Car Driver in Manhattan

May 26 2021, Manhattan , New York – pedestrian was struck and killed by hit and run driver around 1:43 am, police said.
Police responded to a 911 call of a person possibly struck by a vehicle on the northbound Henry Hudson Parkway at West 163 Street, in Manhattan, cops said.

First Responders found a 34-year-old male with trauma about the head and body, lying on the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive, officials said.

EMS also responded to the location and transported the aided male to NY Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased, according to NYPD.


Police say that preliminary investigation determined that the male was walking at the location when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on the Henry Hudson Parkway, the vehicle did not remain at the scene.

The NYPD’s Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is continuing the investigation.



The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
