Three Dead after Car plunges into water in Queens

May 22 2021 Queens, New York; Three people were killed early Saturday morning after a car plunged into Newtown Creek in Long Island City, fire officials said.

FDNY were called toBorden Avenue and 29th Street in Long Island City around 4:45 a.m. FDNY divers and rescue teams responded responded and pulled three people from the water, FDNY official said.

Fire officials said the car hit a ramp and flew over a hill, landing in the water at Newtown Creek.
