May 14 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
On the first warm Friday night of 2021, crowds of people came out to Washington Square Park to party and enjoy the weather.
There was dancing, drinking, smoking, music, fire eaters and even shopping.
The CDC on Thursday recommended that fully vaccinated Americans can discard masks and the need for social distancing outdoors and in most indoor settings can be relaxed.
Governor Cuomo however announced late Thursday that New York state’s mask mandate will remain in effect as state health officials review the new federal guidance.
Despite the Governors words, the crowds were back in the park on Friday night to celebrate life in a post pandemic NYC.
