27-year-old shot dead in Queens, inside his car

On Saturday, May 15, 2021 at approximately 0416am, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at the corner of Francis Lewis Boulevard and 111 Avenue, in Queens.

Cops say they observed a 26-year-old male, in the driver’s seat of an Acura sedan, with a gunshot wound to the torso.

EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health & Hospitals/Queens, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the NYPD, further investigation revealed the male had entered the vehicle, along with three additional adult passengers, at 199-14 Hollis Avenue, and in the course of driving from the location, was shot by an unknown individual while operating the vehicle. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.



The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
