Activists March through NYC in Solidarity with Minnesota

April 12 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Dozens gathered in Washington Square Park to protest the killing of Duante Wright by police in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

The protesters marched through the streets of Greenwich Village and Chelsea chanting “black lives matter.”
20 year old Wright was killed by a female police officer during a traffic stop in what the Brooklyn Center police department is calling an accidental discharge of an officers gun, she claimed she was attempting to draw and fire her taser.

He was reportedly pulled over for obstruction of his rear-view mirror by an air freshener. Police say they attempted to arrest him on an outstanding warrant.
