As boats brought the families across the river, Texas Rangers met them and assisted them on the other side. Many children arrived, some appeared to be uncomanied. When a child started crying a female border patrol agent cradled the child to calm it down

On the ground, at both locations, multiple colored bracelets are left after the crowds. Wristbands are reportedly a sign that the person has paid the human traffickers. It appears that they are told to discard of them upon reaching the border.
