Excluded Workers Continue Hunger Strike – Day 20

April 4 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Essential and Excluded, workers gathered outside of Governor Cuomo’s midtown office to demand that they receive aid, despite many of them being undocumented immigrants.
Some protesters have been engaging in a hunger strike now lasting 20 days.

The protesters are asking for an “Excluded Workers Fund” which would provide an average payout of $12,600 for 187,000 undocumented immigrants and 86,000 recently incarcerated people.
New York City’s public advocate Jumaane Williams spoke at the protest.
There has been no word yet from the Governors office regarding the protesters or hunger strikers.
