Police Arrest 19-Year-Old Man in Stray-Bullet Astoria Killing

April 1 2021 – QUEENS, New York:
Dajuan Williams, a 19 year old male has been arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon after he shot and killed a 37 year old woman in Astoria with a stray bullet.

Vallinas was walking outside the Walgreens pharmacy on Broadway and 48th Street in Astoria at the time, near where she lived.

She was shot and killed when Williams and another man had an altercation at the Woodside Houses, NYCHA development.



The gun fight spilled out on the street, and Williams allegedly fired several shots down Broadway.

One bullet struck Vallinas in the head, killing her, police said.
