Missing Woman’s Body Found Under Garbage in her Home

A missing 65-year-old woman, Evelyn Sakash, was found dead buried under garbage on her kitchen floor on Tuesday, a police spokesperson told the Associated Press.

Evelyn was known to be a hoarder and was last seen alive on September 30th, leaving her residence around 8:30pm, according to the NYPD.

Sakash’s sister hired a cleaning crew to clear out the woman’s home in the College Point part of Queens, discovering her body, police said.

Evelyn won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003 for “Between the Lions, ” she was a production designer who worked on films including “Mermaids,” and “Still Alice. ”

Her cause of death will be determined by City Medical Examiner.
