March 30 2021 – STATEN ISLAND, New York: A few dozen people gathered outside of the 122nd precinct in a rally to “back the blue.” Representative Nicole Malliotakis and Leticia Remauro, former candidate for SI Borough President.
The event was organized by Scott Lobaido. About 15 people showed up to counter protest the event, they chanted from across street anti-police slogans.
Malliotakis, Remauro and LoBaido spoke to the crowd expressing their support for police and against the recent removal of qualified immunity for officers in the NYPD.
