Fights Broke Out at NYC “Freedom Rally”, Part Of Global Antilockdown Protests

March 20 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
A large crowd of a few hundred gathered at Union Square to rally against lockdowns and mandates in the global action called the “Freedom March.”


A man dressed as a colonial soldier was carrying a confederate flag, he was questioned and confronted by some of the people.
Counter-protesters arrived later in the day, after seeing posts of the confederate flag and hearing reports that some attendees may have been agreessive with a Stop Asian Hate action that was happening at the same time. Stop Asian Hate action was there to draw messages in chalk.

Several fist fights broke out in the crowd, the police took a very light approach, not getting involved and not arresting anyone.
