More than 5 NYC schools receive suspicious letter with white powder

From March 10, 2021 through today, March 19, 2021, six schools in Manhattan were mailed a similar-looking white envelope containing a white powdery substance.

Each of the schools received a white envelope with the address handwritten in block type letters and a U.S. flag stamp . Each letter contained the suspicious substance, the material was screened and determined to be non-hazardous.

On March 20th, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police were alerted to a suspicious package found at the Rudolf Steiner School, a private school, in the Upper East Side. We have reached out to NYPD to confirm wether this was related, but did not receive response at this time.

On March 22 2021 another, additional report, came through in UES about “suspicious power” at business office of Spence School in the Upper East Side.

On March 24 2021 in Upper East Side, New York, police received a report on an unidentified suspicious powder, in a bag in a school library at Vanguard, high-school.
