Hundreds Gathered at “Stop Asian Hate” Vigil in NYC

March 19 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Hundreds gathered in Union Square on Friday evening to rally against Asian hate crimes in the wake of the mass shooting in of 6 Asian women in Atlanta.

Members of the Asian community gathered with signs and pictures, one memorial was set up with a candle. Political leaders spoke including Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Public Advocate Jumaane Williams.
Former Presidential candidate, Andrew Yang, was also seen in the crowd.

NYC Mayor De Blasio arrived to the event later on and was seen chased after by protesters who called him “racist”
