Nursing Home Residents Speak at Covid19 Memorial

March 13 2021 Roosevelt Island, New York – dozens of people, nursing home residents and politicians gathered outside Coler Nursing Home on Roosevelt Island for a Covid19 vigil, commemorating 1 year since the shut down.



Residents spoke and shared their experiences. People held signs saying “Nursing Home Lives Matter” and “Isolation Kills Too”.


After the speaches everyone walked along side river in a singing meditation, arriving to a large light display projecting messages onto the building – “SEE US”, “HEAR US”, “ISOLATION KILLS TOO” and “NURSING HOME LIVES MATTER”
