At around 10:19am, police responded to the discovery of the body, in an incident that may be related to a missing female from Upstate New York. The Queens borough District Attorney was at the scene of the incident, and CSI was investigating. The perimeter at the scene was pushed back to cover the entire block at 149-57 Lefferts Boulevard.

Video from the scene shows a flatbed tow truck with the name JET on the side. One car is on the flatbed, and the black Toyota is being towed behind with the trunk partially opened.

Police can be seen pushing the press and gathered bystanders back as they extend the crime scene out further. It is unclear at this point where the vehicle was when it was attached to the tow truck and how long it may have been there.
