A man was shot and killed in Van Nest this evening. Around 5:15 pm, police responded to a shots fired call on the corner of Rosedale Avenue and East Tremont Avenue.
When they arrived, police discovered a 35-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS arrived and took the man to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives are involved in an investigation and no arrests have yet been made.
