6-year-old boy and his Father died in Queens Fire

Early Monday morning (February 15 2021), police responded to a 911 call of a residential fire inside of 45-54 157 Street just after 1am.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames blazing through the two-story residence.

A 65-year-old man and a 6-year-old son were found inside the location, unconscious and unresponsive, both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Additionally, another 6-year-old boy, twin brother, was found and rescued from the home and transported to NYC Health & Hospitals/Jacobi, where he is listed in stable condition with burns to his body.

The cause of the fire is to be determined by NYC Fire Marshal. The investigation remains ongoing.
