Serial Subway Killer Cought in NYC

Alleged serial killer believed to have fatally stabbed two homeless people and slashed two others during a 14-hour spree along the A train line, in NYC on Saturday. NYPD announced a massive manhunt, adding 500 officers to stations.

The city awoke to reports of two separate stabbing deaths overnight on the A Train. On Friday night at around 11:20pm, police responded to a 911 call regarding an unconscious man on an A Train stopped at Mott Avenue and Beach 22nd Street station. Police discovered the unconscious and unresponsive man with stab wounds to his neck and torso sitting on a bench inside the train. EMS arrived and pronounced that man deceased at the scene.
Two hours later, at 1:21am on Saturday morning, police responded to a 911 call, this time of an unconscious female onboard a northbound A train, now stopped at the West 207th Street and Broadway station. When they arrived they found an unconscious and unresponsive 44 year old female with several stab wounds throughout her body lying underneath a bench on the train. EMS arrived and pronounced that female deceased at the scene.
At this time, no arrests have been made and police are investigating.

Suspect was only described as lighter skinned male, five-feet tall and wearing a face mask.

Rigobero Lopez lived in a Brooklyn homeless shelter, he was arrested by the NYPD while still wearing shoes stained with blood and in possession of a kitchen knife for his alleged role in deadly stabbing attacks along the A train’s line.

Lopez was arrested at least four times in recent years and police officials have said he was suffering from mental distress in two of those cases.

Lopez’s family claims the 21-year-old was seeing a social worker before the coronavirus pandemic stopped the visits.
