Cop Shot in the Back in The Bronx

January 26 2021 Bronx , New York – NYPD officer was shot in the back in the Bronx at Whiteplains Rd & Lafayette Avenue this evening around 10:40p.

Officers who were driving on White Plains Road encountered the suspect and attempted to stop him. Police fired one shot, while suspect fired four shots, striking officer in the back. Suspect is in custody.

Officer who is a 6-year-veteran is 31 years old, he is stable but in a lot of pain.
