January 23 2021 – MANHATTAN, New York:
Several hundred protesters gathered outside of the Russian Consulate on 91st Street in Manhattan on Saturday to demand from Russia the release of Alexei Navalny, leader of the opposition in Moscow.
The group marched down 5th Avenue to Times Square where they continued to rally for his release in solidarity with worldwide protest. Over a 1000 people have been arrested in Russia during Navalny protests on January 23rd.
Navalny was detained upon returning to Moscow on January 17 after being sickened with a nerve agent and medically evacuated to Berlin.
