Police Shoot Suspect Who They Say Charged At Them in Brooklyn

December 28 2020 – BROOKLYN, New York: Police shot and injured an unarmed man during a gun arrest at 181 Lenox Road in East Flatbush.

Police were arresting a man brandishing a firearm when another suspect appeared and “charged at the officers.” According to Chief Monahan, that suspect did not stop when ordered and reached into his waistband when officers opened fire. He was struck in the leg and officers applied a tourniquet. He was taken to the hospital with contusions to the head and gun shot wound to the leg.


The suspect is in stable condition. One officer was treated for tinnitus.
