33-year-old Bicyclist is dead after being struck by MTA bus

December 23 2020, Brooklyn, New York – Bicyclist is dead after getting struck by an MTA bus in Williamsburg last night just after 7:30pm

33-year-old male bicyclist was lying on the roadway with trauma to the leg and torso, police said.

EMS responded to the location and transported the him to local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Upon further investigation NYPD determined that the male, while operating a pedal-assist E-Bike, was traveling north bound on Graham Avenue, just north of Metropolitan Avenue, along with an MTA Bus, operated by a 50-year-old male, traveling in the same direction. In the course of travel, the bicyclist collided with the side of the bus, for unknown reasons, and the bicyclist came to a rest on the roadway. The operator of the bus remained at the scene and was not injured. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.



The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Adrian Coyotl De Los Santos from Brooklyn, New York
