NYC uses Tarp and Buses to Block People From Watching Rockefeller Tree Lighting

December 2 2020 – MANHATTAN, New York: Dozens of people gatheredon Fifth Avenue across from Rockefeller Center to witness the tree lighting despite the event being closed to the public.
Several NYPD buses were parked along the avenue with black plastic sheets between them to obscure the view and prevent a crowd from gathering. Eventually someone in the crowd ripped off the plastic so at least some in the crowd could see the annual event.
