75-year-old woman dead after being hit by car in Queens

On Tuesday, November 24, police responded to a 911 call in the morning of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian struck on Juniper Boulevard, between 81 Street and 82 Street.

Officers observed 75-year-old Eugenia Atamian, a pedestrian lying on the roadway, with trauma on her head. She was taken to North Shore Forest Hills Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Further investigation by the NYPD determined the female was attempting to cross Juniper Boulevard, midblock, and emerged between parked vehicles when she was struck by a 2004 Chrysler sedan being operated by a 42-year old male driver. The driver remained on the scene. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.
