Two people shot dead in apparent Murder-suicide on Manhattan Street

Two people shot and pronounced dead near the 1st Precinct near Morris and Greenwich St this morning in the broad daylight in apparent Murder-suicide.

A man shot a woman twice in the head — believed to be his wife — before turning the weapon on himself in Lower Manhattan.

Cops found two victims, a male and a female, both unconscious and unresponsive. The male, aged 46, was taken to New York Presbyterian Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The female, aged 40 was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was found with a gunshot wound to her head and chest along with abrasions on her neck. The man was also found with a gunshot wound to his head and an abrasions on his neck.

A firearm and a knife were recovered from the scene.

Sources identified the victim as Min Ai and the shooter as Xin Yu.
