5-Year-Old Boy Killed In Bronx Fire, Woman Critically Injured

October 26 2020 Bronx, New York:
5-year-old boy has died from smoke inhalation following a fire at 305 East 153st Street, his mother is recovering at the hospital.

At 10:11 am police and fdny respond to a fire in the Bronx, as the fire subsides, two injured people were discovered in the residence.

One was a 5 year-old boy, the other was a 38 year-old woman. Both were unconscious and unresponsive. They were taken to Lincoln hospital where the boy was pronounced dead following smoke inhalation. The woman sustained very serious injuries and transported in critical condition.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Distraught family members were seen picking up the pieces of what was left following the fire.
