Teen Arrested After Climbing Queensboro Bridge While Livestreaming

October 22 2020 – MANHATTAN, New York: An 17-year-old teen climbed the truss near the middle of the Queensboro Bridge today around 4:40pm and according to scanners sprayed passersby with pepper spray. He was Live Streaming for about 90 minutes until ESU reached him and asked him to shut down the stream.

Three ESU members climbed up and slowly, safely brought the teen down by around 7:30pm. According to NYPD he was charged with multiple crimes.

17-year-old Malik Sanchez has been arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, unlawful possession of noxious matter and criminal trespass. NYPD said he “placed himself, pedestrians, motorists, and city workers at risk of serious injury”.
