Man Fatally Shot early morning near Astoria Park

One man was fatally shot and another man pistol-whipped early Monday morning in Astoria.

Incident occured near 25th Road & 18th Street around 4:36 a.m.

21 year-old male was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS took the victim to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A second 21-year-old male victim was pistol whipped. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition with a laceration to the left side of the head.


As of Monday night, no arrests had been made in the ongoing investigation.
