19-year-old female fatally shot in Bronx, two males injured

Police are investigating a shooting Monday morning (Oct 19th) that left one woman dead and two other victims injured.

Incident occured outside of a Mexican bar / restaurant located at Jerome Ave in the Bronx, around 7:30am.

A 19-year old female, Wendolin Ortiz, was shot in the torso and did not survive. A 28-year old male with was shot to the right arm and 30-year old male got 3 gunshot wounds to his body.

28-year-old and 30-years old victims are currently in stable condition. There are no arrests and the investigation is on-going.

Police are searching for the suspect described as a Hispanic male with a light complexion, 5’5 inches tall, last seen wearing a yellow jacket and blue jeans. He reportedly fled the scene in a gray Acura with New Jersey license plates.
