26-year-old shot dead in Inwood

Cops arrested a 28 year-old male, in regard to a fatal shooting of a 26-year-old victim in Inwood.

Saturday, October 10, 2020, around 10:55pm, police responded to a call of a man shot at 105 Post Avenue, within the confines of the 34th precinct. When arrived officers discovered a man, unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head, in the courtyard of the site. EMS also responded and transported the male to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.



An identity for the victim has not yet been released as proper family notification is still underway.

A 28 year old male, Rafael Negron of the Bronx, NY. He was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. Negron was charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm, according to the NYPD.
