Woman in life threatening condition after being struck by NYPD Highway Patrol car

An NYPD patrol car that was rushing to a report of shots fired on Throgs Neck Bridge, struck and seriously injured a woman who was walking in the Bronx Monday afternoon. She is still in critical condition.

The spokesman said there were no shots fired and that the Highway Patrol unit was rssponding to request for assistance from cops who stopped a vehicle on the Throgs Neck Bridge,

Incident occured at Pelham Parkway and Wallace Avenue around 3:26 p.m. (October 5)
