Off-duty firefighter Piotr Orlowski’s home in Dyker Heights was destroyed last night in a 5-alarm fire. 12 firefighters were injured and it spread to two homes.

Nearly 200 firefighters responded to the scene as the fire spread. Everyone got out of their homes safely. Cause of this fire is under investigation.
